Spend the day exploring the greener side of the Cape Peninsula, exploring vast gardens or forest trails to start, the harbour charm of Kalk Bay for lunch, and time with the penguins at Boulders Beach. This is a day built around nature, fresh air, and time to enjoy each stop at a pace that suits you.
Your day begins with a choice that's entirely yours: a peaceful morning at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens, or a gentle hike through the indigenous forests on the eastern slopes of Table Mountain, both enjoyed with a coffee or tea and a light snack. Either way, the morning sets a relaxed tone for the day ahead.
From there, it's on to Kalk Bay, a quirky harbour town with tidal pools, galleries, and boutiques to explore before lunch. Lunch is included at one of our local favourites, with your options ranging from an oceanfront fish and chips spot to a laid-back pizza joint. The choice is yours.
End the day at the famous Boulders Beach, home to a colony of endangered African penguins, with time to explore Simon's Town, home to South Africa’s naval base, if time allows.
Like much of the day, that last stop is built around pace rather than a fixed plan, allowing time to savour each stop and move on when you're ready.
