Spend the day tracing the curve of the Cape Peninsula, where the ocean meets mountains, penguins nest among boulders, baboons cause occasional traffic jams, and fishing villages give way to wild coastal roads. This is the Cape’s gentler side, shown with care and character.

This is a day for those who prefer the long way around.

Your journey begins with a slow morning in Kalk Bay, a quirky coastal town known for its tidal pools, harbour, and excellent pastries. We’ll pause for coffee, something delicious from the bakery, and an optional dip in the tidal pools before taking time to explore local galleries and boutiques.

From there, it’s on to Boulders Beach, home to a thriving colony of endangered African penguins. Skip the queue at the entrance, where we’ll guide you to a quiet spot for a closer look without the crowds.

At Cape Point Nature Reserve, your guide will lead you through the dramatic southern tip of the peninsula. Here, you’ll pause for a gourmet picnic in a scenic, secluded lookout with great food, panoramic views, and fresh air.

The return journey takes the Atlantic route through Scarborough, past the surf breaks at Misty Cliffs, over Chapman’s Peak Drive (with a photo stop, of course), and back through the Atlantic Seaboard. Expect breathtaking views, considered details, and unforgettable moments.
