Who we are.

A day with Local Lynx is about how you get to know the Cape, and who you get to know it with.

We build ours the way we'd want someone to show us their city. Not the fastest route through the sights, but the one built around the places worth finding along the way.

And then there's who you spend it with. Ours come from a background in high-end private guiding. Here's who you might be spending the day with.

Where we come from.

Local Lynx grew from African Lynx, which has run premium multi-day private tours in Cape Town since 2017. Created to bring the service standards of luxury African safaris to the Cape, African Lynx was named after the caracal: a wild cat native to the Cape, often mistaken for a lynx.

We use the same guides and uphold the same standards as African Lynx, meaning a single day with us comes with the experience of nearly a decade spent hosting guests across the Cape.
